We care about you and your pet’s safety! Please read below for our COVID-19 clinic policies

2/2/2022

Dear Havertown Animal Hospital Pet Parents,

Most importantly we hope that you all are well!

We wanted to first thank you for your patience with our transition to curbside veterinary care for the last few weeks.

With the decline in local covid numbers we are transitioning back to in person veterinary care while maintaining curbside care for those families interested.
Beginning Monday, February 7 we are very excited and grateful to offer a return of pet parents entering the practice with their furry kiddos. We will continue our mandatory mask policy and ask that you please notify us if you are exposed or have tested positive for covid so that we can reschedule your appointment.

We are so happy to see you all back in the building or continue with curbside care.

Thank you again!

All our best,

Drs. Katie and Lew Springer and The Havertown Animal Hospital Team

HAVERTOWN ANIMAL HOSPITAL continues to provide personalized care during this unprecedented time. Our hospital policies are meant to protect all of us during the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to offer the safest care for all, Havertown Animal Hospital will provide both:

  Masked pet parent entry

   or

Curbside care at Havertown Animal Hospital.

We will comply with CDC guidelines and require everyone inside Havertown Animal Hospital to properly wear a face mask in order to protect the unvaccinated members of the community, our staff and our families.

We will provide a mask if you forget yours.

We are also more than happy to offer ‘curbside care’ by bringing your pet inside and communicating with you either on the phone or face-to-face, outside.

In person Check-In Process:

  • Face masks are required when dropping off or picking up your pet or during any other interaction with our staff.

  • Healthy pet parents will be allowed into Havertown Animal Hospital with their pet.

  • Every individual will be required to have their temperature taken prior to entry.

  • If there are more than 6 people in the waiting room or if you are more comfortable doing so, you can wait in your vehicle until the examination room is ready.

  • While you are inside Havertown Animal Hospital we ask that you remain 6ft from pet parents and veterinary staff whenever possible.

  • Whenever possible we will process check outs in the examination rooms.

We are so excited to have our staff see you and your pets inside Havertown Animal Hospital!

Curbside Check-In Process

  • Face masks are required when dropping off or picking up your pet or during any other interaction with our staff.

  • When arriving with your pet please stay in your car and call upon arrival to the hospital. 484.455.7276

  • You will be met by team member(s) to collect your pet from outside of the building. Patients who are being discharged or are otherwise ready to head home will be returned to you in your car.

  • Whenever possible we will have you fill out questionnaires electronically ahead of time or over the phone as you sit in your car. If not possible and paper questionnaires are used, team members wearing gloves will briefly meet you to accept documents which we will scan.

  • During your pet’s treatment our doctors and nurses will do our best to come out to speak with you in your car, masked and 6 feet away. When this is not possible, we will communicate with you via phone and email.

SAFETY MEASURES

All employees are required to wear masks at all times in the hospital. Each employee checks his/her temperature upon arriving at the hospital. Our team members thoroughly wash their hands when arriving to work, after leaving and re-entering the building as well as after every client and patient interaction.

We have a hospital-wide ban on hand-shaking, hugging and general unnecessary close personal contact. When possible, our team members will maintain a safe social-distance (6 feet).
